BCAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
NATIONAL BLACK COALITION OF FEDERAL AVIATION EMPLOYEES (NBCFAE) CONFERENCE:
BCAL participates in the annual NBCFAE conference. BCAL has sponsored breakfasts, gained members, and informed members about the organization. This conference occurs yearly during the month of August in various cities across the US.
LEADERSHIP ACADEMY: The Leadership Academy is usually held in Atlanta, Georgia during the summer. The academy is a one-half day activity in which BCAL hosts a group of youth and introduces them to the aviation industry by having individuals involved in the industry speak to the group.
JACKIE'S ACTIVITY: BCAL co-sponsors an aviation activity in Kansas City, Missouri that involves several aviation groups such as the Tuskegee Airmen.
ORGANIZATION OF BLACK AEROSPACE PROFESSIONALS (OBAP) CONFERENCE: BCAL participates in the OBAP Conference with a booth set up to inform visitors of the organizations, to gain membership and to fund raise. OBAP also hosts a Youth Leadership Workshop a few days prior to the conference at the conference hotel to a local group.
