BESSIE COLEMAN AEROSPACE LEGACY

The Bessie Coleman Aerospace Legacy (BCAL) was founded in 1995 by a group of female aviators and was originally branded as the Bessie Coleman Foundation. It was rebranded as the BCAL in 2010. The BCAL is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization with a mission to continue the legacy of Bessie Coleman: to make aviation accessible to anyone interested in aviation regardless of race. In order to fulfill the legacy and mission, the organization sponsors several activities across the country that include conducting workshops with minority youth.

a 501C-3 non-profit organization with a mission to continue the legacy of Bessie Coleman which is to make aviation accessible to anyone interested in aviation regardless of race.  In order to fulfill the legacy and mission the organization sponsors several activities  across the country that includes conducting workshops with female minority youth that includes activities designed to introduce youth to various aspects of aviation, speaking to youth in various venues about aviation, working with communities to name streets and aviation facilities as Bessie Coleman, working with other aviation groups as they conduct their activities.
